Job Title: HVAC Technician
Reports: Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary:
The HVAC Technician’s primary objective is to install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems within H&W Construction and Aikens Group. They will provide excellent quality of service and exemplify H&W’s values and pillars of success. The HVAC Technician must exercise good judgment in various situations and have attention to detail when dealing with items promptly. They will need to work independently and within a team atmosphere as they pertain to different jobs and projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems for H&W Construction and Aikens Group.
- Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain necessary equipment.
- Documentation of work accomplished using the H&W Construction eWork Order system.
- Analyze, respond, and provide feedback on routine and emergency calls for service.
- Complete daily route sheets and weekly reports as needed.
- Follow all quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Report and advise the management team on the upkeep and maintenance needed for equipment.
- Keep not of all maintenance required for the company truck and equipment.
- Schedule services, repair as needed within parameters required by each manufacturer.
- Perform work in a professional manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
- Must be attentive to details.
- Sustain knowledge of current skills of the trade.
- Be timely in all communications and requests by ownership.
- Must have the ability to handle pressure in meeting deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Must have the ability to work independently and use independent judgment with minimal supervision.
- Must produce high-quality work that has been proofed and is error free.
- Must provide and maintain own hand tools required for job duties.
CDL Class B Truck Driver:
H&W Construction is seeking a CDL Truck Driver. Drivers must be in good standing with DOT. Duties include driving dump trucks, and other labor duties as needed.

H&W Construction is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for residential, commercial and hotels. The chosen applicant will be awarded a full-time job with potential growth opportunities. Work to be performed within 30 miles of Winchester VA including Woodstock VA and Martinsburg WV. Applicants must be detail oriented with the willingness to work together as a team to ensure project schedules are met but the quality of build is never compromised. Candidate should have knowledge in the following areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall and Painting. HVAC experience is preferred.

Pipe Layer/Operator/Laborer:
H&W Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer/Operator/Laborer for residential, commercial and hotels. The chosen applicant will be awarded a full-time job with potential growth opportunities. Plumber:
H&W Construction Company, Inc. is seeking experienced individuals for our plumbing crew. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in plumbing and gas pipe fitting. The essential job duties are as follows:
Examine plans and specifications to determine needs to properly install plumbing and gas piping. Essential functions of Plumber's job is pipe fitting, setting fixtures, and repair of existing plumbing. Work will include both new construction work on Multi Family Buildings, and Commercial Buildings as well as remodel work. Commercial experience and license is preferred.
The work will be performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, the candidate must have the ability to work in both hot and cold environments. Additionally, must have the ability to work and navigate over uneven surfaces while carrying up to 35 lbs.
